‘Of course I want to’ He said. Today’s Gospel.

Our earth is a magnet, having a magnetic north pole and a magnetic south pole. Now Jesus himself was like a human magnet, attracting people to himself,
especially those who needed healing, just as in today’s Gospel story where Jesus heals the leper.

Of course the leper told everyone he met of his healing, contrary to what Jesus wanted. The leper in this story is part of myself – the part calling out to Jesus, the part reaching out in a needy way, the part needing healing.

Jesus tells us that he wants to heal us ‘of course I want to’ he said. This healing may come through other people and some people are healed more quickly than others.

God wants us to be happy and happiness is 80% within myself. I may be relying on other things and people for my happiness. The more content I become with my inner self the happier I will be. This is part of life’s journey and everything will be made right in the end. There is only one person after death so there will be no loneliness, sickness or separation among us. Jesus the human magnet will draw all people to himself. A.S.
