This weekend we celebrate Summer Solstice or Midsummer.

June 21st is the longest day of the year in the northern Hemisphere. It’s a time when we celebrate the bounty of the earth and the power of the Sun.

Thank you God for Summer. Thank you for light and warmth of the sun. Thank you for the marvels of nature all around us at this time.

Open our eyes Lord, as we walk through this world, feel the wind and sunshine, see the majesty of creation unfolding before our eyes this summer time.
