Well, here I am reading today’s psalm and realise just how much I need God’s help in my life.
‘Lord who shall dwell on your holy mountain?’ He who casts no slur on his neighbour? … So many times I have passed comments about someone, knowing full well that when I ponder over them I’m full of regret.
‘Lord, who shall dwell on your holy mountain?’He who speaks the truth from his heart. So many times I can speak untruths, and when I ponder over them I’m full of regret.
‘Lord, who shall dwell on your holy mountain?’ He who does no wrong to his brother. Yes, I need to shape up and check myself, bringing myself each evening before Jesus who accepts me in all my imperfections. I am like a child running to its parent, wanting to be accepted, forgiveness and consoled.
Thank God I can wipe the slate clean and turn over a new leaf each day with the help of our Divine Saviour – Jesus.
